Did you know that in the late 1800s almost every ship had a cat on board. This tradition carried on for many more years. When the Titanic was built it had a cat on board. The ship was built in England. A crew member last saw the cat 25 minutes before the ship set sail. Apparently that cat had kittens, and carried them off 5 minutes before the voyage started. Almost every country beleived that cats brought good luck at sea. About 5 days later the ship sank and left 1517 people dead including crew members.
True Story.
Another story about cats is that they were the Egyptians main symbol. Cats back in B.C were popular all around the modern day Turkey. When a cat died the Egyptians would mummify it, just like they would do to humans. The Egyptians used to build Golden Cats to worship them. But all of the Golden cats remain lost. An old legend says that some cats were in The Library of Alexandria, along with the secret of the dark age.
Another True Story.
